The adventures of Baba Wildy, a young African-American orphan, and his best friend Trombone: a little hamster with a very "very" strong character.
Baba Wildy, silent since his parents' disappearance, takes refuge in endless cakes. The only "person" he can talk to is his friend Trombone, and incredibly... Trombone answers him!
Faced with life's challenges, they will have to confront the mockery and stares of those who find them different—in short, unkind individuals in difficult situations. For Baba, having self-confidence in these circumstances is sometimes insurmountable! Luckily, Trombone is there, a kind of Yoda figure, to help him out of these tight spots by providing him with lessons tailored to each situation.
This is clear proof that we always need someone smaller than ourselves.
In late August 1849, in an apparently peaceful Spain, a rape was committed.
Suspected of being the rapist's murderer, Joseph helplessly witnesses his wife's death.
Forced to flee Spain for the New World, he now calls himself Jack Love.
He leaves his brother Emet, his sister-in-law Rachel and their three young children: Hiram, Rivka and Moses, a boy saved from slavery, at the mercy of the royal authorities.
Jack Love, a veteran of the Carlist Wars in Spain, crosses the New World with revolvers.
His brother Emet is murdered by the slave trader Bonito Abbas, who in the same act of violence kidnaps his young nephew Hiram to take him with him on his gold rush .
A judge commissions three ruthless mercenaries to hunt down Jack Love.
Hiram, renamed Mateo, plunges into the violence of his new father, abandoning his true identity and his true past to oblivion.
His mother Rachel, accompanied by her two children, crossed the Atlantic in the hope of finding him.
She ends up in California, living in a mill by a river, resigned to waiting for the unlikely reunion.
Twelve years will pass. The paths of Rachel, Jack Love and Mateo will finally cross but their features and identities have irrevocably changed.
Consumed by a thirst for revenge, will Mateo choose to fight his own family to the death?
This short story, reminiscent of the Marseilles works of Marcel Pagnol, but also of those of Louis de Funès in his era of the Gendarme of Saint Tropez, culminates in the farcical antics of Don Camillo.
"Mort de Rire" is a short story about appearances, where its colorful characters take us on a whirlwind journey through the adventures of a man, Rayan, who was thought to be dead, buried alive in his tomb.
Above his head, he will hear the confidences of others, including his wife Francette, and discover that the life he lived was not the one he believed he had.
That's when, feeling much better, he decides to come out of his hole!

Louis and Auguste Lumière and Thomas Edison invented the cinematograph in 1895 and 1896. The first screenings took place in the back rooms of bars, but soon after, in theaters specifically dedicated to cinema. The music was intended as much to mask the noise of the projector as to accompany the images and smooth the transitions between them.
Éric Atlan and Marc Bercovitz bring this "golden age" back to life with ten silent films, including The Hare and the Tortoise, inspired by the fable by Jean de la Fontaine.
Travel back a century and relive an hour of "Stories Without Words." The Hare and the Tortoise in comic book form, plus a CD of thirteen tracks and a DVD of ten silent films.
